[Beauty] Moroccan Argan Oil

Dubbed as the "liquid gold," this amber-hued argan oil is the latest beauty obsession in the market. It is believed to strengthen and smooth hair, soothe skin and even tastes good as a salad dressing. Moroccan Argan Oil or Argania Spinosa comes from the nuts of the Argan Tree in Morocco.

Argan oil extraction began in the 13th century when locals would collect the argan nuts excreted by goats that climb the trees to eat its plum-sized fruit. Nowadays, argan oil processors use nuts that have been directly harvested from the trees with a 150-year lifespan and are now under the United Nations protection due to the threat of becoming endangered by construction and farming.

This sweet smelling oil is extracted from dime-size kernels, which are ground and pressed to release the oil that can sell for an equivalent of $400 a liter in beauty boutiques worldwide. It has the highest concentration of vitamin E with 80% of unsaturated fatty acids, making it the best moisturizer for skin and hair.

Consumer's recent embrace of all things organic and natural has helped Moroccan Oil boost its success in the market. A true testament to this oil's insane popularity is its presence in the Grammy Awards celebrity gift bags as well as Wal-Mart and Tesco stores.

Vogue magazine recently featured an article about Moroccan Oil on its website and highlighted its ability to refresh and revitalize your hair. Celebrities all over the world such as Maggie Gyllenhaal, Charlize Theron, Anna Kendrick, Rachel Zoe and Lady Gaga swear by this wonder product for its numerous benefits.

Working full time at the office and sitting the whole day in front of your computer is not good for your health and body. Having a back pain, tired hands and legs are the common problem when sitting too much.

To avoid these problems, it's important to know the simple ways of exercise while working. You only need a little creativity to make time for simple workouts.

If you're using a common office chair, you better change it with an exercise ball for a while. Sit on this exercise ball for 1-2 hours while working and you'll feel a relaxing feeling in your back.

Stretching your arms and wrists are also good for you when you're hands are tired already. You just need to extend your arm forward with your palm pointing up and then gently move your fingers using your other hand towards you. Hold it for 30 seconds and repeat it on your other hand.

Back stretching is also a best way to avoid back pains. You just need to sit straight and place your left arm behind your left hip and gently twist it to the left using your right hand. Hold it for 20 seconds and repeat it on the other side.

Another exercise that you can do while you're at work is the leg extension. Just sit tall and make sure that you do the "stomach-in" style. Extend your left leg until it goes to the level of your hip. Hold it for 5 seconds and repeat it to your right leg.

These easy exercises are not only for you but also for your company because having a little time to exercise could improve your concentration and it could actually make you more productive and focus to your tasks.

[Make-up] Easy Guide: Choosing the Best Eyeliner

What are the benefits and advantages of using eyeliners? The main purpose of using this is to have a very good eye impression, since the proper use of eyeliner can make your eyes bold and seductive. It can also make your eyes look firmer and make your face more attractive and gorgeous.

Now, let's talk about choosing the best eyeliner for you.

First thing to remember is that you must know what the best eyeliner for your eyes is. A perfect eyeliner can boost your facial features and there's a lot of eyeliner brands out there that might be the perfect one for you. You can go for an expensive or a cheap eyeliner, price doesn't matter because the important thing is that the eyeliner should perfectly match your eyes.

The various forms of eyeliner are also significant when applying eyeliner because it can better or worsen your appearance. For example, if you need to wear your makeup for the whole day, a pencil liner might not be the best choice since it is likely to fade and smudge over time. It would be better if you use a long lasting eyeliner like a gel, waterproof or liquid to make sure your eyeliner holds up like the rest of your beautiful face.

These are the different forms of eyeliners that we can use:
  • Pencil eyeliner
  • Glitter eyeliner
  • Gel eyeliner
  • Permanent eyeliner
  • Waterproof eyeliner
  • Liquid eyeliner

Another thing to keep in mind is the color of your eyeliner. You should always consider the color of the eyeliner that you will use or buy, and it should match your eye color. For example, you can use brown or black eyeliner when you have black colored eyes. If ever you have blue colored eyes, you can use blue eyeliner or white eyeliner.

The last thing is you must also consider is the shape of your face, skin tone, and eye brow style. You can choose an eyeliner that suits your skin tone by trying a brown and black eyeliner if you have a fair complexion. If you have a light skin tone, you can definitely use white or any other color.

For Long Hair

Get long, cascading curls with high shine in your hair. First thing to do, wash your hair and use a well known conditioner so you get a healthy, glossy shining hair.

After that, dry your hair with a round brush. Then use a large curling iron and roll your hair around the barrel in one direction and then do it again in the other direction to create a ripple effect.

Once you're done, finish everything with an aerosol shine spray to have a very beautiful hairstyle.

For Short Hair

For a modern-looking hairstyle, keep your hair well-moisturized and always massage your scalp gently even when you're not washing your hair.

Place small sections of your hair into large rollers and sit under a drying hood. When your hair is nearly dry, remove the rollers and use a blower to dry your hair. After that, use a flat iron to your bangs to have a beautiful finishing touch.

For Medium Hair

For sexy, beautiful hair waves, use a gloss-enhancing shampoo and conditioner. Then blow-dry hair straight as you would do normally.

With the front/face-framing bits, hold the ends around the barrel of the round brush as you dry your hair, so you get a strong wave at the bottom.

If you want to have an additional curl to the ends of your hair, make sure that your hair is completely dry, then get a large curling iron to create a more dramatic swoop.

    [Make-up] The Best Spring Makeup

When it comes to beauty looks, bare is always beautiful but so is a bit of color on the face. Fortunately the spring shows offered us both options this season. Makeup artists swept brilliant shades of blue and green on the eyes, slicked vivid crimson hues on the lips, then emphasized neutral lips and glowing skin.

There were moments of major lashes and brows but all of that was balanced by softly smudged-in eyeliner backstage. To emphasize this mix of strong versus subtle, play up the features you want to draw attention to with color—or a touch of sparkle while keeping the rest of your look simple and glowing. Plus, check out the most anticipated makeup trends of Spring 2013.

    Red Signals

At first, it seemed like spring would be a season of pale lips. Then red colors hit with a bang, most noticeably where models wore a creamy scarlet hue that generated major buzz.

    Eyeliner In Full Effect

Ever since the cat-eye trend hit last year, eyeliner has become a newfound essential. Most of the other eyeliner style has been ignore and it started to fade. It’s a downtown look that went a bit uptown where makeup artists created striking contrast with jet black liner by swiping on a platinum shadow over the lids, giving us inspiration for how to dress up a few simple strokes for day to night.

    Lush Lashes

From the inky, Twiggy-like fringe seen to the curled and combed up look, it’s time to have fun with your lashes this season. For the beauty adventurous, look to the chic-clumpy varieties at different beauty shops.

    The Bold And Beautiful Brows

Strong brows proved its staying power again. At Etro, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury went for a “fresh, clean” nineties-inspired look, which she created by filling in with M.A.C.’s Eye Brow pencils in a very beautiful and simple way. Meanwhile some makeup artists enhanced the arches of stunners. A handy pro tip: brush brow hairs down to find your natural shape, then fill in sparse areas with a pencil, using short, feathery strokes to shape and even out the contours of your brows.

      [Hairstyle] Summer's Sexiest Hairstyles

      Zoe Saldana's loose curls

Summer's climbing temperatures make it hard to maintain a hairstyle, but with the right products and techniques, you can rock a sleek blowout even in the warmest weather. We rounded up our favorite star-inspired looks for the summer—from top knots to beachy waves—guaranteed not to budge come humidity or high water.

Take it from Zoe Saldana—the more prep you put into the look, the longer it lasts. Her hairstylist Mara Roszak set her strands into pin curls, and while they were setting, she spritzed on Moroccanoil's Luminous Hairspray for hold.

      Rachel McAdams' high top knot

When in doubt, opt for a top knot like Rachel McAdams! The modern classic look beats the heat and gives a polished addition to sun dresses and casual ensembles alike. "I love a topknot and I am so happy this trend is sticking around," said McAdams' hairstylist Mark Townsend.

      Kerry Washington's delicate down style

Kerry Washington and her hairstylist Marcus Francis wanted to show off the neckline of her dress, but veered from the standard updo choices for a smooth down style with a feminine headband.

      Selena Gomez's bumped-up braid

Selena Gomez's long, ropey plait got an extra dose of drama with the addition of a sky-high pompadour. Her hairstylist Marissa Marino began with the volume on top, sectioning the front of Gomez's hairline and sprinkling on Unite's Expanda Dust to add body. After teasing it with a fine-tooth comb, she pinned it into place and created five small ponytails down the center of the star's head. Marino twisted the five ponytails into a French braid, and roughed it up by pulling a few pieces out.

[Fitness] 4 Fitness Tests You Can Do at Home

Why do you exercise? Whether you want to increase your energy, reduce your health risks, or lose some unwanted pounds, do you ever wonder if all that working out is working for you? That's where fitness assessments come in, and they can be great motivational tools to help you reach your goals.

Measuring your fitness level regularly is one way to find out if you're making progress. Most fitness centers have trained staff who can evaluate your body composition, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance, but it can be pricey. If you don’t have access to all the toys and tools of your gym, don’t panic. You have everything you need to measure your fitness level in your own house!

Start with the simple assessments below, whether you plan to start an exercise program tomorrow or you've been at it for a while.

The Pushup Test (measures muscular strength and endurance)

The Pushup Test measures muscular strength and endurance, a combination that better reflects your fitness level than strength tests like the one rep max. Besides being dangerous, single rep max tests also require a lot of equipment (bench press or squat rack, barbells, and other weights). A timed pushup test, on the other hand, can be done anywhere.

The Crunch Test (measures abdominal strength and endurance)

The Crunch Test, technically referred to as the "partial curl-up" test, measures abdominal strength and endurance, a combination that more truly reflects your fitness level than strength tests alone. This test is a better choice over the standard sit-ups because crunches are safer for the lower back and target the abs better. A timed crunch test can also be done anywhere.

The 3-Minute Step Test (measures aerobic fitness)

The 3-Minute Step Test measures your aerobic (cardiovascular) fitness level based on how quickly your heart rate returns to normal after exercise.

These tests are great tools to see how you are doing. If you don’t score as well as you like, just remember to focus on improving your own scores periodically. As long as you are improving, your fitness plan is working. If you find you aren’t making the progress that you feel you should be seeing, it may be time to change your workout routine.
